| Welcome to The Center for Personal Supercomputing! |
|
A Site Dedicated to Building Personal Super Computers using the latest in free clustering technology! This site is dedicated to providing the latest news and information on the state-or-the-art in Super Computing, and contains complete information on how to create your own Supercomputer! This site is divided into several sections, each section covering a major topic within personal supercomputing. Overview is a section that gives a brief review of the current supercomputing architectures, and the different types of supercomputing, and the pro's and con's of each, and is a nice overview of the topic and of this sites content. The Master and Slave Clusters and SSI Cluster sections of the site are devoted to a more in-depth review of these types of supercomputers, and include general information about those architectures, the vendors, links to where the current distributions can be downloaded, and any other related information that we can find on the topic. We included a section on SSD (Solid State Devices) since this is an important related topic that can help performance. We include information on SSD in general, a review of some current SSD products, and how to build your own SSD devices. The How-To section contains while papers and articles that will guide you through the process, step-by-step, of creating your own supercomputer. References contains links to many resources around the internet that deal with supercomputers, vendors, software distributors, and links to any websites or articles that we cite or refer to in any of the articles posted here. Forums is a place for you to post your own experiences building and using the types of supercomputers discussed here, post your experiences using the content provided on this site, and, a section where we welcome you to post pictures and details of your system. We welcome any and all contributions! If you would like to contribute to the site, please send links, papers, reviews, articles, or anything else related to Personal Super Computing to the email address below. We prefer very technical, hands-on type of articles that will allow people with a few extra computers to build their own super computers, maintain them, and program for them. Please be sure to include links and references in your included articles. For more information, questions, comments, or to make a contribution of material, please email info@personalsupercomputing.org
